I can’t believe Summer is coming to its perceived “end.” (Back to school, vacation is over – but still plenty of great weather!) I enjoy this portion of the year because “summer” seems to get shaken off and businesses get back to being “busy.”

One thing I’ve noticed about the summer months is that I see an increase in research projects (aka “shopping”) from supply chain and sourcing folks not presently UI customers. They’re looking at existing products, such as covered bearings, no crush wheels, solid urethane rollers, roller recovering, etc. to see how UI can assist them in delivering a more economical product solution to their organizations.

In my mind, supply chain management is a dynamic, ever-evolving activity that lines up perfectly with the axiom of: ”You won’t know if you don’t ask!”
